04The details

The science behind shockwave therapy.

Extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) delivers acoustic pressure waves into soft tissue. These waves may increase local blood flow, stimulate cellular repair, and reduce pain signaling in chronic tendon and muscle conditions.

A short series of sessions spaced about a week apart is common. Shockwave is not used over areas such as open wounds, certain implants, or during pregnancy.
